Achieve Financial Credit Union is introducing a refreshed lineup of debit and credit cards designed to make everyday payments faster, more secure, and easier to manage.
Over the next few months, members will begin receiving newly issued cards featuring updated designs, enhanced security technology, and expanded digital capabilities. These updates are part of our continued effort to improve the way you pay, manage your cards, and use digital banking.
New cards will be issued gradually over the coming months. When your replacement card is ready, it will be mailed directly to the address we have on file.
Please make sure your contact information is up to date in digital banking so your replacement card is mailed to the correct address.
You will continue using your current card until your new card arrives.
When you receive your new or reissued card in the mail, please take a few moments to complete the following steps:
Completing these steps will help ensure a smooth transition to your new card.
Updated Card Designs Both our debit and credit cards are receiving a modern new look along with updated chip technology that supports faster and more secure transactions.
Debit Cards Transitioning to Visa Our debit cards are transitioning from the Mastercard network to Visa. This change provides expanded global acceptance while continuing to deliver the reliable service you expect from Achieve Financial.
Contactless Tap-to-Pay Our Platinum Rewards Visa Credit Card will include tap-to-pay technology, allowing you to make fast, secure contactless purchases at participating merchants.
We are also improving how you manage your cards inside digital banking.
Our enhanced Card Guard feature will now be integrated directly within digital banking, eliminating the need for a separate card control app.
With Card Guard, you can:
Will my debit card number change? Yes. Your debit card number will change. You will need to update any merchants where your card information is stored for recurring payments.
Will my credit card number change? No. Your credit card number will remain the same, but your expiration date and CVV number will change. You will need to update any merchants where your card information is stored for recurring payments.
Do I need to activate my new card? Yes. Activation instructions will be included with your new card.
Can I continue using my current card? Yes. You can continue using your current card until your new card arrives. Once you activate your new card, your old card will be automatically deactivated. If your old card is not activated within 30 days of receiving your new card, it will be disabled for security purposes.
What happened to the Card Control app? Card management features will now be integrated directly within digital banking through our enhanced Card Guard.
Will I still earn rewards on my credit card? Yes. You will continue to earn rewards with your Platinum Rewards Visa Credit Card just as you do today. Any rewards points you have already earned will remain in your account, and you will not lose any points as part of this transition.
Will my debit card still work the same way? Yes. Your debit card will continue to work the same way for everyday purchases, ATM withdrawals, and online transactions. Your new card will now be supported by the Visa network, which offers broad global acceptance and enhanced security features to help protect your transactions.
